Hi.
A couple of questions have been asked recently about using the new euro
currency sign € .
Here is some information that I have found out.
If your using Win.98 and have a new keyboard with the sign on it, you have
no problems , the fonts , Arial , Courier new , Times New Roman , MS
Sans Serf all have the sign. If you have Win.98 but the sign is not on
your keyboard, hold down the Alt Gr key and hit key 4 $ or hold down the
Alt key and on the numeric key pad ( num lock on ) type 0128 and release
keys.
=CHAR(128) function will also return the sign, if used with one of the
above fonts.

If you want to use the symbol in a currency format, you will need to alter
one of the existing Custom Formats , say : $#,##0.00_);($#,##0.00) to
€#,##0.00_);(€#,##0.00)
Formatting the cells using this.

For win95 the answer is to upgrade your fonts from Microsoft :
