The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)  list for comp.apps.spreadsheets has been
referenced here frequently for  FAQ  and can be found on the Internet:

Several frequent posters  have websites were some FAQ are stored or answered.


Perhaps another Hint to New Posters  should be added (beyond content of #4
state your problem clearly)  -- Ask ONE question that you specifically  want
the answer to.  You can ask additional questions, or finer points but make sure
that they are RELATED and could easily be answered by the person who first
answers your question.    If unrelated questions are asked it makes it hard to
locate answers by other people.   It may delay your answer if someone who might
have answered your important question won't answer because they can't answer
questions 2, 3, and/or 4.

Something  that may really delay answers are the use of MIME, which is
extremely rude.

Something that may delay you getting an answer is the  use of incorrect or
modified email addresses, where the responder might otherwise have been able to
send you a copy of the posted reply.
