You want to customize what you have to change rather than running older code. The color you used to have either came from a Theme or from your Windows 7. on my Windows 7 page, I describe changes I made for color in item #11 when installing Windows 7 * http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/windows-7/win7.htm Turn off transparency in Windows 7 *Personalization (Control Panel): Uncheck enable transparency, Color Intensity (to the Max), Blue Twilight (color)

([http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/icons/w7_window_color_and_appeance.png picture]) In order to WOW users that Firefox developers could carry over Aero effects into Firefox they neglected to check to see if users turned off transparency so you have an eclectic combination of transparency on or off. That said you, may have to change colors yourself with a Style. In the following I set colors for my toolbars and in the description comments you will see additional changes for Windows 7 so you won;t have transparency where you (or at least I) don't want it. * Color Toolbar(s) to identify profile -- Themes and Skins for Browser

You can go back to the earliest entry in the tab and open a new page so that you remove all of the forward history, but you can't remove the original or reduce it to just the original entry in the tab. App-tabs are pretty much like regular tabs except that the tab is protected from opening a direct link or bookmark to another site within the app-tab -- that does not apply to bookmarks with substitution or javascript as they will open in the same app-tab. App-tabs provide no more protection than normal tabs against web pages like this site while composing a reply where the typed text is frequently lost during composing and have to start over. App-tabs are considered part of browsing history so you must save your browsing history for app-tabs to work. '''Tools > Options > Privacy''' you must have "Remember my browsing history" and in Settings where check marks mean to clear things you must leave unchecked "Browsing history". If you want to wait until all or most of your add-ons have been updated to 4.0 you might want to monitor the progress right on your addons list in 3.6.* or 4.0.*. Is It Compatible? :: Add-ons for Firefox, Are your add-ons compatible with the next version of Firefox? Find out straight from the Add-ons window! https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/is-it-compatible/ You may have to read the developer notes and user comments, and developer's home page and/or forum for more information about an add-on. The Firefox 4 beta was a beta for over a year, many minor changes do get made near the end but many developers to avoid duplicate work on their part refixing things wait until about a week before final release to start updating their add-ons if they expect little change. It is basically not up to Firefox to wait on developers, as addons are not part of Firefox. The monitoring of addons for Firefox 4 was greatly improved by Compatibility Reporting by beta users, where addon developers could quickly see what problems users were having which included operating system, the beta version of Firefox, and more. I have 19 of my 83 extensions that are "not compatible" but I use them anyway because I know they work. http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/infolister_listing_fx4.htm#extensions but I have checked them out in Compatibility Reporting based on the GUID number that you can find in the about:support list https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/compatibility/reporter/ I use a bookmarklet to help me with that. Adblock Plus will do nothing without filters and a subscription or two is easily added after installing ABP. The extension is large but well worth having on your main or only Firefox profile. I don't think either site comes close to being a hijacking. A nice feature of Adblock Plus filters is that each subscription, and your own additions are maintained separately. Another is that you can bring up a "blockable items" report to see what can be blocked as well as what is blocked, and you can see the specific filter that is blocking an item. 7:33 PM 2011-08-06 Adblock Plus and tvguide.com * https://support.mozilla.com/questions/858722#answer-226784 See the "More effective pop-up blocking" section near the end of * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Popups_not_blocked#More_effective_pop-up_blocking '''keyword shortcut to get a site report''' for a specified site '''Name:''' site: SiteAdvisor Lookup (Web Safety Ratings)
