Whether on mainframes or PCs most of what I ended up using were macros that I wrote and used them as Building Blocks to do things one piece at a time. The amazing thing about macros is that once written they were almost immediately used on something completely different in combination with other macros to do something I would not have been prepared to do even one day earlier.

My Former sites at AOL have been moved to Geocities (which is part of YaHoo). I had stayed on AOL for a long time so you you would not have to look at advertising, I hope the limited advertising in the corner will not be too annoying it does not appear until after the web page has loaded and it can be removed each time you come to the page.  Another possibility was XOOM, but I could not tolerate that much objectionable material at the top of the screen.

GEOCITIES archives
Althogh I moved my personal Geocities pages to www.mvps.org/dmcritchie there are many sites that simply
went out when Yahoo turned out the lights on Geocities. But a chunk of that
information has been archived. Finding it will present a problem as much of it
is not yet online and is not indexed. But here are some links of interest.
